Tommy has lived in Columbia since 1964 after moving here from Alabama. He attended AC flora and graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1971. I came to working in real estate from twenty-five years in the practice of law, including contracts and real estate, an experience that fostered an expertise in negotiated agreements and “getting to yes.” Living in Forest Acres, I have been involved in the community through my church, Little League Baseball at Trenholm Park, the Columbia Sailing Club, and through my alumni association. I have been here since 1979, and I know the Columbia area market.

RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATION (RCC)
A Residential Construction Certified Agent (RCC) has undergone many hours of online and classroom instruction in:
Arcitectural Drawings, types, dimensions, scales, material and plan symbols
Foundation Types and considerations, crawl space and slab, post tension and piers
Earthquake and wind resistance construction and materials
Roof construction, types, pitches, trusses, sheathing, technology and materials
Doors, windows, fireplaces, flooring, countertops and finishes
The RCC designation is the badge of an agent that wants the best representation possible for his new construction client, whether that client is the Builder/Seller or the Buyer. It indicates a level of construction knowledge beyond the greater percentage of most agents, and should be given some weight in the choosing of a listing or buyers agent.
CERTIFIED NEW HOME SPECIALIST (CNHS)
Augmenting the RCC designation, the CNHS program overlaps the end of the RCC study, with an examination of:
New home trends to address the interests and needs of different demographics
Understanding builder responsibilities, risks and the builders perspective
Negotiating a building contract, construction specifications, and financing
Construction inspections, reports, and draw requests
Market research and strategies for representing the builder, including generating qualified buyer traffic, advertising and creative strategies for traffic building
Understanding buyer issues, overcoming barriers to closing and dialogue with buyers

Don Keever completed his education at the University of South Carolina. By May 15, 1999, his experience in sales earned him a role in the development of Lake Carolina, one of the most recognizable communities in the Midlands. In September of 2004, Don accepted a position with the Wolfe Company, a boutique real estate firm in Columbia, from which he established himself as an expert, with local knowledge and experience in Lake Murray and the in town neighborhoods of Shandon, Heathwood, and Forest Acres, as well as Northeast Columbia.
